A simple photo of yellow-orange tulips in my mother’s garden. Thanks to the f1.4 aperture and 50mm focal length on the APS-C sensor, the photo has a very shallow depth of field. Only one tulip flower is in focus approximately in the center of the photo. The other nine flowers are out of focus and become part of the background of the photo.
My favorite old Nikkor 5Omm lens is not perfect. It is not even perfectly sharp. But the photos you create with it have their own charm and unique atmosphere. They have a wonderful bokeh and beautiful muted colors.
