Dead Flowers – Impermanence Art Print
Dark black and white photograph of dry plants – vertical fine art photography print. One group of leaves is in focus and the others are out of focus – I think this adds more charm to the photo and better portrays the feelings I was trying to bring to the photo.
The printed photograph will look best in a simple black frame with a white mount. I think it will look best in a simple minimalist interior, such as a living room or perhaps an office.
The photo was taken two days before the end of 2021. I was with my family at a cottage in the Bohemian Paradise. For several days there was a thick fog all around. I took my camera and went for a walk around the village by myself. Originally I wanted to take pictures of the silhouettes of trees in the fog but I ended up discovering a beautiful corner where I took several hundred pictures. From them, I finally selected 16 photos and this is one of them.
The photograph is part of a series in which I try to show the basic theses of Buddhist philosophy in photographs. This image evokes transience and impermanence – one of the fundamental natures of our world and the universe in general.
