A strange plant in a minimalist photograph

I photographed this strange plant in the beautiful Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic, specifically, in a place called Paseky nad Jizerou. I was there with my children and friends in a mountain chalet and finally took a moment to take photos. I went to a meadow above the ski slope, which was beautifully covered with fresh snow.
For a long time, I couldn’t find anything interesting to photograph, until I came to the edge of a small forest where some strange plants were growing that looked like animals rather than plants. They reminded me of small triffids. They looked like they would get up and walk at any moment. Several photographs were eventually taken of this encounter and this is one of them.
