In February 2020 I was on holiday with my family in Benecko in the Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) in the Czech Republic. I took all my photographic equipment with me because I was planning to go all alone on the surrounding hills at least twice to take some interesting pictures. From my experience, I know that when I try to take pictures on a trip with my family, I rarely manage to take a nice photo. It takes me a long time to take pictures and then just delay the others.
But the story of this black&white minimalist photo is quite interesting. I had the dream of photographing snow-covered tires. I thought it would be funny if I really discovered some snow-covered tires.
And finally, it really happened. The day after I had the dream, I took my family to the ski slope and started walking back to the cottage. About halfway through this eight-kilometer trip, I noticed a huge pile of old tires from trucks and tractors that were all snow-covered.
Immediately I went to the pile, and perhaps for an hour, I photographed here. Although people from passing cars were looking at me in perplexity, I continued taking pictures. And here you can see the result. If you like the photo I will be very happy if you buy it and hang it in your interior.
