I photographed this dune in Iriqui National Park near Zagora, southern Morocco, just after sunset. We had reached the area by off-road vehicle with a local driver, crossing stony desert, passing wild ostriches and stopping at a small oasis.
The dune forms a dark diagonal from upper left to lower right. Above it, the sky changes from deep brown through copper and orange to a pale yellow glow at the horizon. A thin crescent moon sits near the centre.
I used a 24mm view in the fading light. We stayed that night in a tent near the dunes with local families as hosts. The print suits a bedroom or a restrained interior with warm colours.
