I took this photo from the beach on the shore of Macha lake (Czech: Máchovo jezero). Actually, it’s not a real natural lake, but it’s a fish pond.
Thanks to the beautiful landscape, pine forests and beautiful beaches that the lake offers, it is a popular location for Czech tourists. I love it here too, but not in summer like most people. It is too crowded for me. But when you come in the off-season, you’ll see something completely different. The beautiful scenery, long empty beaches and vast expanse of water is a paradise for hikers and photographers.
I took this photo using a neutral density filter (ND filter), which allows to extend the exposure time. Thanks to this, the water surface is blurred and the photo has a calm, almost dreamy impression. You can buy the photograph as a fine art print.
