Minimalistic black and white photo from the Polish Baltic Sea coast. Wooden stakes are set in rows on the beaches, chopping up the strong sea surf. At urban beaches, these breakwaters are new and uninteresting to the photographer. To get this photo, I had to go a few kilometers out of town to where no one maintains the breakwaters. The stakes there are old and battered by the sea waves – just beautiful!
This photo is also for sale in various variations of art prints. You can buy this minimalist photo of the Baltic Sea printed on wood, canvas, acrylic, or even metal. There are dozens of different types of frames and mountings available. Set the specific variant of your new art print in the configurator.
I took the photo after sunset because that was the only way I could get up to 20s exposure. I didn’t have an ND filter for the telephoto lens I used to take the picture.
I took the photo near the town of Kolobrzeg on the beach in northern Poland. I spent several hours on that beach over two evenings before I managed to take this photo. I was spending a lovely holiday there with my family and these late afternoon photo trips of mine were a wonderful relaxation 🙂 The photo is minimalistic, a bit abstract, a bit moody, and a bit impressionistic. I hope you like it!
