About This Set
This set is about blue space, water and the moment when a landscape begins to lose its literal shape. The sea is still sea, the lake is still lake, the horizon is still present — but the photograph no longer depends on clear detail. What remains is color, rhythm, atmosphere and distance.

Two of these photographs were made on the coast of Marsa Alam in Egypt. The third was made at Lake Khövsgöl in Mongolia, a place that is personally important to me and connected to my long relationship with Mongolia.
