Blue Abstract Landscape Set of 3 Photography Prints

A curated set of three blue abstract landscape photographs built around water, soft horizons, intentional camera movement and quiet color. These images were made in different places — by the sea in Egypt and by Lake Khövsgöl in Mongolia — but they share the same visual language: blue tones, horizontal movement, blurred distance and a calm sense of openness.

Rather than describing a specific place in a documentary way, these photographs reduce the landscape to its most essential elements: water, sky, light, movement and atmosphere. The result is a soft blue wall art set for interiors where the artwork should bring calm, space and a quiet sense of distance.

About This Set

This set is about blue space, water and the moment when a landscape begins to lose its literal shape. The sea is still sea, the lake is still lake, the horizon is still present — but the photograph no longer depends on clear detail. What remains is color, rhythm, atmosphere and distance.

Blue is the visual thread connecting the three photographs. In each image, the color works differently: sometimes as pale coastal light, sometimes as a deeper atmospheric layer, sometimes as a cool, quiet surface between water and sky.

Two of these photographs were made on the coast of Marsa Alam in Egypt. The third was made at Lake Khövsgöl in Mongolia, a place that is personally important to me and connected to my long relationship with Mongolia. Although these places are far apart, the images belong together because they share a similar state of mind: stillness, water, openness and the quiet depth of blue.

I see these photographs as blue horizons rather than traditional landscapes. They are not about showing where I stood. They are about the feeling of looking across water and letting the world become simpler for a moment.

Important Note About Print Sizes

The three photographs in this set have the same aspect ratio, which makes it easier to choose matching sizes and create a balanced wall arrangement.

Still, it is important to check the final overall framed size before placing your order. The image size shown in the print options refers only to the photograph itself. Once you add a frame, mat or another finishing option, the final artwork can become significantly larger.

For example, a photograph listed as 20 × 30 cm may become approximately 34 × 44 cm after adding the frame and mat. When creating a set of three, I recommend choosing the same size, frame style, mat color and material for all three prints, and checking the final “Overall” dimensions on Pixels / Fine Art America before ordering.

Why These Three Prints Work Together

The three photographs share a calm horizontal structure, an abstract treatment of landscape and a blue color palette. They are abstract, but they still keep a connection to real places: sea, lake, sky, clouds and distant land.

Abstract Seascape is the most minimal and open of the three, with gentle blue bands of water and sky. Abstract Seascape – Multiple Exposure has a more layered, dreamlike quality, where the horizon and waves seem to dissolve into each other. Khövsgöl Lake in Mongolia brings a slightly moodier blue atmosphere, with blurred hills, clouds and lake surface forming quiet horizontal fields.

Together, they create a soft sequence of blue landscapes. The connection is not only geographic or technical. It is mainly visual and emotional: water, horizon, abstraction and the calming presence of blue.

FAQ

Is this set sold as one product?

No. Each photograph is purchased separately through Pixels / Fine Art America. This gives you full control over size, frame, mat and finish for each print.

Do all three prints have the same aspect ratio?

Yes, the three photographs in this set have the same horizontal aspect ratio, which makes it easier to choose matching sizes and create a visually balanced triptych.

How were these photographs created?

The photographs were created using intentional camera movement and in-camera multiple exposure. These techniques soften the landscape and turn water, sky and horizon into more abstract visual layers.

Which frame should I choose for this set?

For this set, I would choose a simple white, natural wood or light frame with a white mat. The photographs are soft and atmospheric, so the frame should support the sense of calm rather than create strong contrast.

Where should I place this set?

This set works especially well above a sofa, bed, sideboard or long hallway wall. Its horizontal format and soft colors are suitable for calm living rooms, bedrooms, reading corners and minimalist interiors.
