A curated set of three black and white landscape photographs about distance, scale and the quiet geometry of land. These images bring together mountain silhouettes, snow-covered forms and an almost-landscape where a small winter detail begins to look like a much larger world.
The set is built around the visual language of layers: distant ridges, fog, snow, shadow and soft tonal transitions. Each photograph reduces the landscape to form and atmosphere, leaving out unnecessary detail so that the viewer can focus on structure, depth and silence.

Included Prints
This set is composed of three individual fine art photography prints. Each print is purchased separately through Pixels / Fine Art America, where you can choose the size, frame, mat and finish for each artwork.

Almost a Landscape
A close-up winter photograph of snow-covered mounds that appears almost like a distant landscape. A small branch gives the only clue to the real scale of the scene.

Mountain Silhouettes in Egypt
A minimalist photograph of layered mountain silhouettes near Marsa Alam, Egypt. The distant hills gradually fade into lighter tones, creating a calm study of depth, space and atmospheric perspective.

The Roughness of Mountains
A black and white photograph of snow-covered mountains in the Italian Alps. Rocks emerge from fog behind a pale winter foreground, creating a strong contrast between softness and rough geological form.
About This Set
This set is about the way a landscape can become almost abstract without losing its connection to the real world. Mountains, snow and distant landforms are still present, but they are reduced to surfaces, edges, tonal layers and quiet shapes.
I am interested in moments when the landscape stops being only a place and becomes a visual structure. A mountain range can become a sequence of grey silhouettes. A snowy foreground can feel like a silent plain. A small patch of snow photographed from very close can suddenly resemble hills seen from far away.
The three photographs were made in very different places — the Italian Alps, the Egyptian desert near Marsa Alam, and a snowy clearing near Prague. What connects them is not geography, but perception. Each image plays with the viewer’s sense of distance and scale.
In this set, the landscape is not shown as spectacle. There are no dramatic sunsets or wide scenic views. Instead, the photographs focus on quieter questions: how far away is this? How large is it? Is it a mountain, a surface, a memory of a landscape, or only a shape touched by light?
Why These Three Prints Work Together
These three photographs share a restrained black and white palette, horizontal composition and an interest in layered landforms. They are visually calm, but each one approaches the idea of landscape in a different way.
The Roughness of Mountains brings physical weight and texture. The rocks and snow feel solid, almost severe, while the fog softens the space behind them. Mountain Silhouettes in Egypt is more distant and atmospheric, built from gentle tonal layers rather than texture. Almost a Landscape is the most ambiguous image in the set: it looks like a landscape, but it is actually a close view of snow.
Together, they create a sequence from real mountains to distant silhouettes to an imagined landscape. The set works because it moves between recognition and uncertainty. It invites the viewer to look longer and question the scale of what they see.
Important Note About Print Sizes
The three photographs in this set have the same horizontal aspect ratio, which makes it easier to choose matching sizes and create a balanced wall arrangement.
Still, it is important to check the final overall framed size before placing your order. The image size shown in the print options refers only to the photograph itself. Once you add a frame, mat or another finishing option, the final artwork can become significantly larger.
For example, a photograph listed as 20 × 30 cm may become approximately 34 × 44 cm after adding the frame and mat. When creating a set of three, I recommend choosing the same size, frame style, mat color and material for all three prints, and checking the final “Overall” dimensions on Pixels / Fine Art America before ordering.
Pricing
The table below shows approximate starting prices for individual prints in different sizes and materials. Prices may vary depending on the selected frame, mat, paper, mounting options, current availability, currency settings and other product choices on Pixels / Fine Art America.
Because this set is created from three separately purchased prints, the final total price depends on the size and finish you choose for each artwork. Please always check the current price and final product details directly on the print detail page before placing your order.
For the cleanest result, I recommend choosing the same material, frame style and mat color for all three prints, while carefully checking the final overall dimensions of each framed piece.

FAQ
Is this set sold as one product?
No. Each photograph is purchased separately through Pixels / Fine Art America. This gives you full control over size, frame, mat and finish for each print.
Do all three prints have the same aspect ratio?
Yes, the three photographs in this set have the same horizontal aspect ratio, which makes it easier to choose matching sizes and create a visually balanced triptych.
What connects these three photographs?
The photographs are connected by black and white tones, horizontal composition, landscape forms, layers and a quiet play with distance and scale. Each image reduces the landscape to shape, atmosphere and structure.
Which frame should I choose for this set?
For this set, I would choose a simple black, white or natural wood frame with a white mat. The photographs are minimal and tonal, so the frame should stay quiet and not compete with the subtle landscape forms.
Where should I place this set?
This set works especially well above a sofa, bed, sideboard or long hallway wall. Its horizontal format and quiet black and white tones are suitable for calm living rooms, bedrooms, offices and minimalist interiors.
