The technique I used to create the photograph
The story behind the photo
I created this photo in the Podolí district of Prague when I was returning from work. He usually drives the fastest way straight home. But sometimes I get so tired of working at a computer that I need to take a walk.
I was not in a good mood that day. I was thinking about how I would like to do more than just sit at a computer all day and edit clients' websites. I also thought that I would like to spend more time in nature and that I should do something that has a deeper meaning.
Then I noticed that a lone man was sitting on the wall of the Vyšehrad walls, looking dreamily at the city landscape. It occurred to me that maybe he was thinking the same things as me. Or he just needed a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Maybe he was meditating. That's hard to say. Anyway, I felt we had something in common at that moment.
Place of origin of the photo
I took the photo on the right bank of the Vltava river in the center of Prague - directly below Vyšehrad. Fortress Vyšehrad is one of the most beautiful places in Prague. It is a place where there are not many tourists. It is also a place that has a magical, mysterious atmosphere and at the same time evokes feelings of peace and tranquility. In addition to the fact that Vyšehrad is an important place in Czech history, there is also the famous Slavín cemetery, where important Czech personalities are buried.
There is also a beautiful view of the Vltava River and Prague Castle from Vyšehrad.
The technique I used to create the photograph
This "sad and lonely" man sat far enough away from me. I took the photo from the street under the fortifications. So I used a telephoto lens Tamron 70-300mm with a focal length set to 300mm. I used my favorite Nikon D7100 APS-C camera. I took a few similar shots, some in portrait and some in the landscape. In the end, I liked this one the most. I like the composition and the feelings it expresses. I like the simplicity and minimalist look.
Post Production
As usual, I didn't edit the photo right away, but many months later. I prefer to let the photo "mature" and edit it only when I am not influenced by the feelings from the time when I was taking it.
As always, I took this photo in RAW and then edited it using Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop. In addition, I used the great add-on Silver Efex Pro from Nik Collection.
Visualizations in Interior
To be able to imagine how the photo of a sad man will look like in your interior, I have prepared several visualizations in different interiors.

The pictures on a 1.9cm thick maple wood plate are beautiful. Wood adds depth and a beautiful texture to the photography. Pictures on the wooden board are very durable and give the photo a rustic look.
