Fine art photograph of a high blue-yellow bridge spanning the Orlik reservoir in the Czech Republic. I arrived at the reservoir early in the morning with the aim of photographing the bare banks that have been created by the lowering of the water level that took place here in 2022.
I arrived at the bridge early in the morning and started shooting at -12°C just on the bridge. This resulted in this vertical architectural photograph, which you can buy as an art print. You can also find more photos I took that day on this website.
The Ĺ˝ÄĂĄkov Bridge (Czech: Ĺ˝dĂĄkovskĂ˝ most) is a steel arch bridge that spans the Vltava River between OrlĂk nad Vltavou and Kostelce nad Vltavou in the PĂsek district. At the time of its completion in 1967, it was the longest arch bridge in Czechoslovakia and the supported arch bridge with the longest span in the world.
The bridge is also infamous for the fact that victims of the so-called OrlĂk killers were thrown off it in barrels. Suicide jumpers also frequently jump off the bridge.
