Close-Up Photography of VW Beetle
I took this minimalistic photo in the parking lot of a gallery in the Czech Republic. The parking lot was almost empty because of the national shutdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic. But the parking lot wasn’t completely empty. In the corner was a beautiful old Volkswagen Beetle that looked like it had just been refurbished. Just a great subject for minimalist photography.
My favorite thing to photograph on vehicles is the details with the wheels or doors and handles. Here the choice was clear. I chose a portrait-oriented photo and created a composition where the blue and red stripes are complemented by a vertical line and a chrome handle and trim.
