Minimalism in architectural photography has many people associated with modern architecture. But this is not always the case. This can be proved by my photo from the historical Baroque village called Holašovice in South Bohemia. It is a truly magnificent traditional village, which is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As usual, here I was on a trip with my family. First, we went through the village square and then sat by the pond in the middle of the village. Thanks to this I had enough time to choose objects suitable for photography. And then, when my children were playing and resting, I took the camera and went to take pictures. One of the first places I went to was the building in this photo.
I was intrigued by a few things in the building that I tried to transfer to the photo:
- 3 windows. Three is generally the number that most pleases the human eye.
- Symmetry expressed by windows and shadows.
- Symmetrical horizontal lines expressed in gray decorative elements on a building.
- Violation of order and regularity, which is a small hole in the lower-left corner.
