I took this black and white minimalist photo with my favorite Tamron telephoto lens with a focal length of 300mm. That day I took pictures in one of the most beautiful parks in Prague – Divoká Šárka. I was there with my family and with a few exceptions, I couldn’t take anything interesting. At the very end, as we returned to the car, I noticed two people, a young couple in love, who were passionately debating at the top of one of the local hills.
I knew right away that this was a great opportunity for a minimalist image. The choice of composition was clear:
- The main theme of the photo will be on the side of the frame.
- The largest part of the photo must be filled with negative space – the sky.
I took the photo in such a way that only the silhouettes could be seen (Exposure bias value: -1/3). Nevertheless, in the post-process, I have significantly increased the light and darkened the dark parts. At the same time, I converted the photo to black and white and increased the contrast. And this is the result. I hope you like it.
