Minimalist photography of a green plant in the snow (second version)
This photograph, entitled ‘A Green Plant in the Snow II’, shows the stark contrast of a vibrant green plant sprouting from a pristine snowy landscape. The photograph was taken in December 2023 near my home in Kolovraty, Prague, and is a tribute to the stunning forms that nature can create even in the harshest of conditions.
The minimalist style of the photograph, which focuses on a single plant, celebrates the simplicity and sophistication of nature’s blueprint. The shot was taken using a Nikon Z7 with a 90mm lens set to an aperture of f/9.0 for a shallow depth of field. This configuration, combined with a shutter speed of 1/100s and ISO 160, produced a sharp, clear image that beautifully highlights the plant in the snow.
The art print is offered in three subtly different versions, giving buyers the freedom to choose the one that best suits their aesthetic tastes.
