Architectural photograph of a modern building in the middle of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia - for sale as a fine art print
In the middle of the Gobi desert in southern Mongolia, I found this awesome piece of architecture. We lived with my tourists (I was there as a guide) in the yurts next to this magnificent building, which was a revelation in the desert wasteland.
I took this photo in an area called Tsagaan Suvarga - White Stupa, which is about 400km from Ulaanbaatar in the Gobi Desert. I took several photos here, mostly focused on close-ups. Here, on the other hand, I tried to capture the whole building along with the red color that characterizes the whole surrounding landscape.
It is a shot that straddles the line between architectural and landscape photography. This is mainly due to the style of the building, which fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. As it is a relatively dark image, it looks best when it is made with a white mount and a black frame.
