Capturing the Tranquility of Marsa Alam with Multiple Exposure
The photograph entitled "Abstract Seascape - Multiple Exposure" was created using a multiple exposure technique with nine shots. I didn't compose it afterwards from separate photos - I took it directly in the camera. To achieve this effect, I took ten consecutive shots, moving the camera slightly between each shot so that the images blended seamlessly into a soft, abstract seascape. This photograph is available as an art print in a variety of formats, including framed, canvas and acrylic.
It was taken with my NIKON Z 7 camera and a NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S lens. The photo was taken on 26 May, 2024, with an exposure time of 1/125s, an aperture of f/3.5, and an ISO of 200. I set the focal length to 85mm, and the image size is 8194px by 5463px.
I took this image in Marsa Alam, Egypt. The scene reflects the calmness and stillness of the ocean under a hazy sky. The subtle blending of the waves and horizon creates an ethereal, dream-like effect, enhanced by the multiple exposure technique, which gives the photograph a soft and abstract quality that I wanted to convey.
