Abstract photograph of the Prague Castle panorama for sale as an art print.
The creation of this photograph has been in my mind for a long time. I had a fairly clear idea of what this abstract photograph should look like and I'm really glad that I finally managed to make it happen. It is not at all easy to achieve the desired photo with abstract photographs of this type. This is evidenced by the fact that it is practically impossible to take the same photo again.
Photograph of Prague in a new way
It is very difficult to photograph the sights of Prague in such a way that it is an original work of art. Hundreds of photographs are taken every day, not only by tourists but also by amateur and professional photographers. Therefore, for almost any photographic project in Prague, it is clear that someone else has taken it before. And I don't like to take such photos.
How was the photo taken?
I knew in advance what the photograph would look like. All that was left was to find a suitable place and a suitable time for the photo shoot. I wanted to photograph the silhouette of Prague Castle, so I had to go out in the evening to take the photo almost against the sun. So I set off on foot along the waterfront from the Charles Bridge downstream, looking for the ideal spot from where Prague Castle would look best. When I found a suitable photo location, I spent more than an hour there before I achieved the ideal photo that would be perfect in terms of composition, contrast, and mood.
I shot by setting a high aperture of f/18.0 and a long exposure time of 1.6 seconds. I then pressed the shutter button and moved the camera up and down during the exposure to create the desired blur. Because the exposure time is so long, it is very difficult to create a photo that has the desired composition where the silhouette of the Castle and the bright sky and water surface are correctly placed. But I think it turned out pretty well in the end and I hope you like the photo.
Types of prints of abstract photography of Prague
You can order the photograph as an art print. It is available as a print on canvas, a framed print, or a print on wood, acrylic, or aluminum plate. If you choose the framed option, there are dozens of frames and mountings to choose from. But my favorite is the classic option with a simple black wooden frame and white mount.
