Edward Weston is one of the photographers who inspire me in my work. His minimalist photographs of peppers are beautiful and show us that even the most ordinary things around us are beautiful, we just need to look at them in a different way than we normally do.
This photograph was taken when I discovered a strange, distinctively shaped, and very dark tomato in a shop one day. During the shoot, I also tried to photograph some peppers I found in the fridge. In the end, I found the best shape in one of these peppers. The tomatoes that I originally wanted to take pictures of, I did, but I didn't like the pictures.
Now I hope this will be just the first of a series of fruit and vegetable photos so you can look forward to more soon.
