Black and White Portrait of Mountain Gran Zebrù
Minimalist black and white photograph of the Gran Zebrù (Königspitze) mountain in the ski resort of Sulden, Italy. The weather that day was something few people were happy about. Thick clouds rolled over the mountain peaks of the South Tyrolean Alps, creating raw, stark panoramas. I took dozens of photos that day and you can see or buy some of them here.
In this photo, where the fog and clouds are hardly distinguishable from the snow, only the rugged rocks of the steep mountain peak stand out. This makes for a simple yet striking photograph that is best suited to modern interiors.
